i got my first job out of school at nordstrom, designing boy's clothing.  i hadn't studied kid's clothes, i didn't know much about children, but one of the first things i realized about working in kid's design was the limitless ideas and creativity that can go into making kid's collections.  10+ years later, i've worked on a broad array of categories, from concept to production, and i always go back to the idea that the thing you're most inspired by yields the best product.

i'm currently passionate about color and palettes, pattern research and creating simple, compelling patterns and product.

if you like my work, and want to contact me, please do!  i currently work on a freelance basis, and would love to hear about your project.

along with having been a designer for 15+ years, most of my pursuits outside of work are also creative. i enjoy a wide variety of making, and rarely feel intimidated tackling something new.  last year I started woodworking with my husband, adding to the many 3D and CNC projects we've completed. owning a 110 year old house has prompted me to learn plastering. I hosted an east coast historical preservation plasterer for a local class teaching the process to 20+ students. sewing, embroidery, photography, drawing, painting and calligraphy are just a few of the other hobbies i've maintained over the years.
